Our Mission
Our name is “United and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County”. We are a group comprised of caring citizens, spiritual leaders from both the city and suburbs, Public Officals, RPD, Monroe County Sherif's, many suburban police agencies as well as numerous community organization leaders and dedicated volunteers. Our purpose is single focused. It is to promote healing and to provide help in our community at a time when community needs and violence have risen to new heights.
Our annual kickoff event was a press conference held Tuesday; October 25, 2022 held at the TOPS Friendly Market store at 999 East Ridge Rd where we launched our third annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Following our press event, there have been many that have reached out offering their support by volunteering or by providing a donation. You will find that this website provides the information for you to become involved. Please consider a donation or volunteering. Every dollar counts to purchase food basket items or a Turkey. Through your support we strive to heal our community and to provide hope to feed our local Monroe County families in need.
Who We Are
Here at Uniting and Healing through Hope of Monroe County, we know that recent circumstances within our community have driven the need to unify and provide a variety of supporting efforts for our residents. Sometimes all it takes to change is just a little support.
We are a group made up of Monroe County Legislators, City Council members, RPD officers, MCSD officers, many suburban police agencies, spiritual leaders from both the city and suburbs, many community organization leaders and dedicated volunteers.

Since our inception last year in 2020, we have been determined to make an impact. Last year we conducted our Thanksgiving Food Basket drive which supported nearly 2000 local families in need. Next was our highly successful blanket drive that took place during the Holiday Season that provided over 3000 warm blankets. to first responders and community members in need. Taking place during the Easter Holiday was our Easter Basket Food Drive and Distribution which provided hundreds of food baskets to our community members. Currently we are engaged in our most challenging mission to date and that is ending the violence on our streets. Our continuing community conversations, marches, rally's represent our efforts to involve or bring awareness to every member of our community that we will rise and defeat the senseless acts of violence once and for all.
So as you can see, the core of our efforts are to bring our organizations fresh ideas and passion to a range of community needs and outreach activities.
